Unearthly Beginnings

Tallulah’s Story

The Seer Almine and Tallulah

I was about 8 years old when I learned spirits were real.

Being a latchkey kid meant I was the first to arrive home after school and therefore spent the first hour or so alone in the house.

One such afternoon, I heard footsteps coming down the hallway and stopping at the kitchen where I was sitting. Panicking, I called my mother to report the intruder and fled the house, waiting outside for her to come rescue me.

After searching the house, my mother informed me that no one had been inside and instead, very bluntly informed me I had heard a spirit. She explained that our house was like a hotel where spirits came and went and that if I experienced any other type of supernatural phenomenon, like hearing or seeing strange light, shadow, or anything unusual in our home, I was to tell her exactly as I had experienced it without “coloring it” in any way.

Supernatural living became a way of life for my sister and me well into adulthood. Since my mother normalized these types of gifts within us as well as embracing it as part of life, we continued to nurture our abilities as naturally as someone would with a talent for math or sports.

After my mother divorced my alcoholic father, our somewhat nomadic life began. My mother - a wandering psychic and gifted healer - strongly identified with the 1/8th of Cherokee blood she inherited from her father’s side, which inspired a lifelong dream to live as a Native American in the desert of Taos, New Mexico.

But instead she became an overworked, overgiving nurse, with a scarcity mentality that drove her to choose surviving over thriving.

The only times I witnessed my mother in the pursuit of joy were watching her nurture her metaphysical gifts; speaking with her spirit guides, communicating with aliens, and unearthing her energy healing abilities. But her self-abandonment outweighed the efforts she made for self-empowerment, which led to a lifetime of exhaustion, poverty, and unrequited dreams.

This self-suppression would later manifest in debilitating health issues like cancer and lupus.

Living in the Realm of Death

I tell you this because I became my mother in many respects; I sought self-expression in the world of shamanism and metaphysics and the performing arts, yet buried my dreams of being a professional dancer on Broadway. I wished to travel the world yet never believed I could do either.

Anger replaced any belief I had in myself to achieve my heart’s passion. Lack became my reality as I formed an unconscious belief of being a failure, and I should settle for whatever I managed to get as the years passed.

Around the age of 19, I developed leaky gut syndrome and a host of other health issues stemming from suppression and an unabiding rage that embedded itself as a part of my identity. After I quit dancing at the age of 25, this rage would darken into an existential poison I couldn’t purge, leading me to a suicidal state that persisted for about 6 years.

For a 27-year period of darkness, I existed in a type of etheric underworld. Financial scarcity, absence of self-trust, and a constant feeling of failure accompanied me from place to place as I followed my inner guidance through a labyrinth of frustration and despair.

But the law of compensation applies to all, and so for the years of persistence in healing myself-my life, I received a type of etheric compensation in the form of heightened perception and abilities rather than financial or material gain.

Digesting My Shadow: The Seer Almine*

And in 2005, the greatest blessing I received during this dark period was discovering the most glorious being incarnate; the Seer Almine, the embodiment of the Infinite Holy Mother, who would become my teacher.

Still to this day, I find writing about her and how she not only saved me from my illusory self virtually impossible, but to speak of such phenomena beyond words is futile.

That said, I say to you, when I first encountered her through an article a friend emailed me, immediately, I noticed how outstanding and singular she was.

Her presence felt otherworldly, dreamy yet laser-like in specificity and accuracy when speaking about highly abstract and unknowable subjects; only events that a seer and scribe of her magnitude could access and articulate.

She didn’t save me from drowning. Instead, she revealed who I was to myself, what was truly occurring to me, and why and how trying to live in a human world didn’t work for me.

As a result of working with the Seer’s teachings and modalities, I live in the world but not of it, buoyant in the expansive states of love, praise, and gratitude.

Every brick laid, every layer lifted, has paved my own golden path to a mystical reality formed from the alchemy of self-love, the wonder of shamanism, and the magic of the Hidden Realms.

Becoming the highest expression of the Infinite Holy Mother I can is my destiny as a god-being incarnate. From this I express and share the teachings of the Seer Almine as well as my own perspective as shaped by Her.
